Confessions of an Unintentional Domestic Goddess

Birth of a domestic goddess

Well, I”m not an expert, that’s for sure.  But I do have a passion for writing and for my family.  So to be able to combine them is really fab! I never would’ve pegged myself as a domestic goddess, but here I am!

Ten years ago, I was a newly minted healthcare professional on the road to healing the world and taking care of my newborn son. Never in a million years would I have considered becoming a domestic goddess, AKA stay at home parent, but look at me now! And to think that I would actually enjoy the challenges and rewards this kind of life would bring was a completely foreign concept.  But here I am.

I live in the midwest and have really found a love of cooking.  Coming from my family, that’s really kind of surprising.  My mother, love her though I do, only had two types of seasoning she ever used:  table salt, seasoned salt.  Well, i take it back, she may have used garlic flakes, but seriously, that’s all.

I wanted to start this page to share tips, tricks, recipes and some helpful hints that I’ve picked up along my journey, and about my life and my take on things I find odd, amusing, or just plain stupid.  And let me tell ya, this is one serious journey!  As with all trips, there have been bumps along the way, but for the most part it’s been a really good ride.

Now buckle up and hang on, things can get pretty wild when I’m around! Keep checking back,  You never know what’s going to happen next!

thanks for stopping by my place, I’m so glad you pointed me this way. I’m not much of a cook, but your recipes seem welcome-ly unintimidating. 🙂

    • Thanks! I’m all about easy, and making my kids happy. They’re 8 and 11 now and very vocal about their likes and dislikes. when I can make everyone happy, I feel like it’s a real accomplishment!
